What a Year it’s Been

It’s been a year of growth and change. A year of triumphs and challenges. A year of learning and teaching. In short, it’s been a year filled with graces, gifts from God. Some of these graces we choose and are easy to embrace, others that we have to live through and delve deeply into to discover why we were called to a particular moment. In all of these we should be reassured of two things: first, that we have much to be grateful for, even as we face the challenges that help us discover who we are. Secondly, that in the Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview community, we never face them alone. At least, that’s what I’ve learned in my first year as Rector. As we move through Advent and into Christmas, challenge yourself to search for where God has been present to you this year, and simply be grateful. I wish you a blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year. See you in 2019.

HERE’S THIS WEEK’S REFLECTION:

There are moments when you think you’ve seen it all. Then, something even more beautiful and amazing reveals itself to you. All you can do is accept it and be grateful. What are the wonders you’re grateful for right now?
